I love the technique used in this Nature Academy tutorial. The tutorial shows how to make a daisy, but I am not a fan of daisies. So what flower to make? My creative writing teacher in high school always said write about what you know, so I applied that philosophy to visual art. Considering the number of dandelions in my yard I must be a an expert on them by now. I went out and picked a handful and looked at them up close. I don’t think I ever saw that each petal had a little curly thingie before now.
