“It is exactly because life is a series of confrontations with the mundane that we observe so little. Therefore, the artist’s role becomes not to illustrate the fantasic but to illuminate the obvious.” – Marshall “In Plain Sight”

Shouldn’t all artists have at least one still life study in their portfolio? I suppose I could have added a cliche twist and done the rotten fruit. I didn’t. Just a nice, clean, well-lit scene of one of my favorite feasts. One problem is I now need to go to the market for some yeast and produce, because I really have a yen for fresh, home baked bread and green seedless grapes.
